No, Perez didn't prove anymore than Jones proved the last 2 times that Jones beat Perez.

Records show Jones has 2 wins on Perez and Perez has 1 win on Jones. So, IF...IF Perez can beat Jones 2 more times so that he has MORE WINS THAN LOSSES against Jones, THEN, he will prove himself...as for now, looks like he just got lucky ONCE. Whoever has MORE wins gets bragging rights....Perez hasnt earned them yet!

If you are only as good as your last match, then why were ppl in here talking about how "great" Perez was BEFORE state? His LAST match would have been at TN when he got BEAT by Jones!

I'm not a sore loser...my kid isn't even Division 1 so I could care less. I just find it interesting that Perez is treated like he's some kind of wrestling god when he was beat twice by Jones.

all of the kids did good, remember these are 6 and 7 year olds people! making state is great and even the kids that didnt make state, they should be proud too. wrestlings a tough sport! who careswho beat who? from what i hear, there were lots of good close matches, so lets not brag and lets not boast ok? lets just let the kids wrestle and have fun!
